Sunshines
The Sunshines room caters to children aged 24 to 30 months, providing a bright and stimulating environment designed for up to 16 children. This engaging space features dedicated areas for role play, encouraging imagination and creativity, alongside cosy reading nooks that foster a love of books. Sensory spaces invite exploration through touch and sound, while new activities are carefully planned each day to promote learning and discovery. The room is thoughtfully arranged to facilitate both independent play and social interaction, ensuring a holistic approach to development.
Activities follow a planned curriculum to meet the developmental milestones of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS). Although these activities are planned in advance, this is subject to change as we follow the child led play guidance. This means that the children are free to lead their own play. Each activity is adapted to meet the needs and ability of each individual child and supported or extended accordingly. We also use the ‘In The Moment Planning’ method allowing the children to explore their imagination and boost their self-confidence by having their ideas and interests listened to and included in our play.
