Sunbeams
The Sunbeams room at Little Treasures Day Nursery & Preschool is thoughtfully designed for children aged 30 to 38 months for up to 18 children, providing an exceptional environment that promotes exploration and discovery. Equipped with age-appropriate toilet facilities, the room also features cosy reading nooks and open areas that invite curiosity and investigation. Notably, children have direct access to their own garden space, allowing for free flow play and engagement with nature. In this nurturing setting, children are encouraged to explore the world around them through play, fostering their natural instincts and supporting their developmental milestones.
Activities follow a planned curriculum to meet the developmental milestones of the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS). Although these activities are planned in advance, this is subject to change as we follow the child led play guidance. This means that the children are free to lead their own play. Each activity is adapted to meet the needs and ability of each individual child and supported or extended accordingly. We also use the ‘In The Moment Planning’ method allowing the children to explore their imagination and boost their self-confidence by having their ideas and interests listened to and included in our play.
