Health & Hygiene

The staff at Little Treasures have a high regard for health and safety and the nursery is inspected by Ofsted and the Environmental Health Officer.

The majority of our staff have completed a pediatric first aid course recognised by our  local authority.

There is a landline telephone and a mobile on the premises in case of emergency. The group possesses up to date first aid kits and most members of the staff present each session have undertaken recent first aid training. Accident forms are kept and records are made of any child having had an accident. The parent is shown the form and signs against the actions taken by the staff.

We occasionally have some children in our care who have nut allergies and members of staff have undertaken to be instructed by qualified nurses the procedures to take if a child should have an anaphylactic fit. We are a nut free setting. All allergies are noted and as far as is possible the staff ensure the children do not come into contact with the allergen. Such allergens are avoided in the preparation of meals for the children.

The nursery is regularly cleaned by our dedicated cleaner, who diligently works every evening, as well as on Saturdays for a comprehensive cleaning session. Upholding high standards of hygiene is paramount in all our activities and is seamlessly woven into our planned educational programs.

We also have CCTV in all of our rooms.
