Dear Parents Dec 24
Christmas is fast approaching and all the rooms are getting ready. There are lots of Christmas activities going on in each room.
We have had some staff changes recently in some of the rooms. Please bear with us during these times, as we move staff depending on the needs of children and to meet ratio requirements. Also staff move to enhance their knowledge of different age groups. The core teams are as follows:
MOONBEAMS
As some of you already know Ella has gone on maternity leave and is due her baby in the next couple of weeks, she will be returning to Moonbeams on her return. Fay has taken over from Ella to cover her maternity leave. Vicky and Lily remain the core members of this team.

We will be saying goodbye to Arpita at Christmas, after having to catch 3 buses to work each morning, she has decided to get something a little closer to home. We would like to thank her for her dedication and support.
Rajy has decided to transfer to our term time only nursery Little Gems from Jan. Again we would like to thank Rajy for all her hard work, you may see her from time to time if cover is needed at Little Treasures.
We would also like to inform you that Kyla is no longer working at Little Treasures due to personal circumstances.
We would like to inform you our next room moves will be in January when we will commence some settling sessions. You will be notified if your child is due to move up a room. We have reflected on our current transition procedure and felt there was room for improvement, so strict guidelines have been put into place for Supervisors to follow, this will include meetings to discuss each individual child thoroughly and arrangements will be made for the new Supervisor to introduce themselves to parents.
We will be holding parent meeting again in January, where you will be able to discuss your child’s progress. We would like to point out that although these meetings are pre booked, parents can request a meeting/update of their child’s progress at anytime. It can be difficult to pass on individual progress feedback at drop off or pickup when other parents are present, but staff would be happy for you to ask for a private meeting at anytime.
Please can you inform staff if your child has medicine including calpol in their bag as this needs to be stored in our secure medicine cabinets. Can we also ask that spare clothes are named including shoes as sometimes other children may have the identical items and therefore take home the wrong ones. Please can you also be mindful about sending in special toys as again as much as the staff try to ensure these are safe, unfortunately sometimes these get mislaid or again taken home by another child. This causes upset and a lot of time spent trying to locate the toys.
Any holidays need to be requested by email, as we use these when calculating the holiday discount in Dec.
As per our terms and conditions, please note that we charge for bank holidays these include Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
We require all absences to be reported to the office by 10am each day as part of our safeguarding policy.
We have been working really hard on our website wwwlittletreasurescaterham
We will be adding other sections to this over the coming weeks and will have a section for parents newsletters, a copy of all our policies and other relevant information. We have also started up a face book page, showing some of the activities children have taken part in. Children will not appear in the photos.
We would love to hear from you with any suggestions either with the website or the nursery in general.
We hope you enjoy all the Christmas activities the staff have planned for the children.
Starlights will be holding a Christmas carol concert, please book your tickets with Emily.
Please could you let us know as soon as possible if your child will not be attending in the run up to Christmas.
We would like to inform you that our fees will be going up in January 25 in line with inflation and the cost of living. We always try to be competitive with local nurseries. Unfortunately our rent and outgoings also go up in January, which as a business we will need to pass some of these on to parents.
We would like to wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and New year. We look forward to the start of a new year 2nd January 25.
We would like to thank you for your good wishes and continued support.
Best wishes
Marie and Alison
